Director Milan Luthria next film has many characters from real life. Movie has been titled “Once upon a Time In Mumbai”.

The story is of underworld gangster Haji Mastans in 1960 and his romantic interested. Ajay Devgan plays Mastan while Kangana Ranaut is set play the role of the beautiful Madhubala.

Madhubala was Mastans actress was rumored to have had a soft spot for. Apparently, Luthria considered yelling in Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra for the role, but eventually went to Kangana who coincidentally, played a gangster’s love interest in her debut film Gangster.

“There was a time”, will also have Kangana’s’ Gangster ‘co-star Emraan Hashmi to play Dawood Ibrahim as the young gradually take over management of the world from Mastans. The film will be produced by Ekta Kapoor. Shooting is expected to begin from April this year.
